What is the Hertfordshire Folk Association, and what does it do?

• Support and/or initiate all forms of folk activity in Hertfordshire.
• Encourage the initiation of such activities by others.
• To act as a liason point for all forms of folk activity in Hertfordshire.

It publishes a magazine called "Puddingstone" three times a year, organises an annual children's folk dance festival (the "Hatfield Summer Festival"), runs workshops, and provides financial support to other folk activities in the county. It also maintains "Diary Dates", which is a list of dances that are being run by the affiliated clubs.

Membership costs £2 per year for an individual, £3 per year for a household, and £10 per year for a group or club. If you'd like to join, click here for an application form (PDF), that you can print out and complete.

The members elect a committee at the Annual General Meeting (next one: Tuesday 2nd November), and this committee meets every couple of months, to plan the activities. (Next meeting: Tuesday 2nd November.) There's also a sub-committee to run the Hatfield Summer Festival. (Next meeting: Tuesday 19th October at 2pm).
